I spent many years bouncing between unfinished projects and chasing tutorials, never quite finding the clarity or confidence to finish much music. I started this blog to share what's actually been helping me. Not as someone who figured it all out, but as someone still figuring it out.
What's it about?
A lot of music production content focuses on gear, plugins, and mixing techniques. That stuff matters, but it's rarely the thing that prevents us from finishing our music. More often it's time, momentum, the pile of old sessions staring at us, the feeling that nothing is ever quite good enough to share. Mind Over Mixbus is about the mindset and workflow side of making music. The practical strategies for getting out of your own way and finishing stuff.

My Journey
I'm a songwriter, producer, and mixer with a full-time job, a family, and a history of letting half-finished ideas pile up for years. I started making music as a teenager, fell in love with production, and spent way too long trying to learn how to "get it right" instead of releasing music.
These days I'm trying to do things differently: building better habits, finishing what I start, figuring out how to turn my constraints into success. I don't have it all figured out, but I'm making progress, and I want to help you do the same.
